The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization. We encourage informed and active participation in government and work to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influence public policy through education and advocacy.
The League of Women Voters of Arizona is active in creating the Voter Guide for voters to understand the ballot propositions and in advocating for our positions in the Arizona Legislature. Advocacy and Action
From protecting voting rights, advancing the ERA, to the care and protection of the environment. We promote good government, proper use of Natural Resources, International Relations and social and economic justice and equity to Make Democracy Work © .
Advocacy and Action by the League ranges from serving as observers of the Legislative process, lobbying, testifying for or against legislation, writing Letters and Oped to newspapers, and legislators, mobilizing public support for League advocacy and calls to action. The League actively participates either through direct litigation or in filing Amici briefs against violations of the Voting right Acts, Fair Maps and issues on which the League has a position.
